Hugx Diamond Kiss Ergonomic Dog Bowl

Hugx Diamond Kiss Ergonomic Dog Bowl

Correct me if I’m wrong, but is there really a need for an ergonomic dog bowl? I guess, so, judging by the release of the Hugx Diamond Kiss Ergonomic Dog Bowl. This design has just run out as the winner of the 2008 Pet Fashion Week Lifestyle Innovation Award thanks to its totally radical design, featuring an ergonomic frame. According to Hugx, this dog bowl was developed by a couple of members from the Audi and Mercedes design team that studied how dogs eat, realizing that a 32.5 degree angle is the most optimal figure for your dog to eat. This dog bowl will set you back by $1,000 no thanks to the diamonds studded all over it.

Dr. Touch From LG

Dr. Touch From LG

The Intel Health PHS5000, better known as Dr. Touch, is a device that functions as an in-house health monitor that is smart enough to monitor and check out various problems caused by different diseases. Of course, it is always wiser to rely on a trained physician whenever you don’t seem to recover from whatever ails you, but I think the Dr. Touch is good enough to diagnose the average flu attack. No idea on pricing, but it comes with a simple and easy-to-use user interface. If I have this at home, I’ll probably take my blood pressure readings for a week until the novelty wears off.

In addition, it ships with a 3.5mm headphone jack, letting you enjoy your music privately with just about any pair of headphones, so make sure you plug in a good quality model. Other features include an alarm clock that relies on your favorite tunes to get you up in the morning. Expect to pick up the Logitech Squeezebox Boom network music player in both US and European regions this September onwards for $299.99.

Russian Hydrogen Powered Charger

Russian Hydrogen Powered Charger

The Russians aren’t only good at gymnastics and synchronized swimming, they’re also pretty adept when it comes to developing green technology. Take this hydrogen powered charger for instance - it weighs a mere 180 grams and offers up to 5 charge cycles, juicing up a totally run-down phone within 10 minutes to a quarter of an hour - that’s extremely fast, compared to current adapters that take hours to complete their task. Sounds like the perfect gadget to keep you company on your travels as it doesn’t bog you down with additional weight and space, not to mention being a whole lot greener for our environment.

USB Mini Controller With Micro Steering Wheel

USB Mini Controller With Micro Steering Wheel

It is interesting to see a USB gamepad like this come with a detachable micro steering wheel, but I suspect it definitely won’t increase the realism in driving games, but will probably appeal to simple kart-racing types instead. It might be small, but at least it is better to use compared to a standard D-pad. This USB Mini Controller works with Windows-based computers only, so Mac users are left out of the loop yet again. It isn’t wireless, so be prepared to welcome yet another 6-foot long USB cable into your home. No idea on pricing, but it is available for order from Dream Cheeky.

Crosley Keepsake USB LP-Ripping Turntable

Many people claim that LPs still offer the best audio experience when it comes to music thanks to the warm nature of records compared with the cold, hard digital formats. For folks who want to preserve their music collection in MP3 format, they can always fall back on the Crosley Keepsake USB LP-Ripping Turntable. This device requires a PC as a middleman, connected to it via USB and uses a bundled software to transfer all LP recordings into MP3 format, letting you enjoy your old tunes on an iPod. The turntable itself is made out of solid wood for that classic look, and it comes with a metal and resin handle along with chrome snap closures for an overall elegant look. You can pick up the Crosley Keepsake USB LP-Ripping Turntable for $149.95.

Orange Admits To Throttling iPhone 3G Speeds

Orange Admits To Throttling iPhone 3G Speeds

Don’t you just hate it when you pay your hard earned cash to a company, expecting that they will render the best level of service possible to you, only to find out that the company has underserved you instead? Orange has recently admitted to artificially throttling the iPhone 3G’s speeds in France for customers, claiming that this decision was made in order for the network to be stable. In that case, can customers “throttle” our payments so that our monthly financial obligations can be stable, too? Just to let you know, iPhone 3G download speeds rarely hit 400Kbps, while those in Germany are touching 1.8Mbps on average. Good thing Orange has owned up to the error of their ways, and will increase 3G data speeds to 1Mbps come this September 15th.
