Our friends from Notebooks.com are giving away a Voodoo Envy 133 in a raffle. To enter, you’ll have to send a few minutes of your time filling a “Color Survey”. Anyhow, we did it because we want green and orange laptops, and yes this is going to decrease our chances to win, but we thought that you might want to give your opinion about laptops and colors. Good luck!

Sixense has spent the last 18 months working on a new 3D input device that could potentially revolutionize the way we use the computer, and will definitely draw comparisons with the Wiimote where gaming is concerned. It relies on realistic movements to control how you interact within the game, but is way more advanced than Nintendo’s offering since it is based on precise tracking relative to a base station and will be able to react to movement in six degrees of freedom. The degree of accuracy falls to the nearest millimetre or degree, and is updated once every ten milliseconds. Being highly sensitive, I don’t think I will enjoy using this input device since my hands tend to shake by itself a whole lot, so anyone watching me play an FPS will probably suffer from a really bad headache later on. No word on when this input device will be released to the masses though.

Epson Imaging has been working on a new 4″ high-resolution low-temperature polysilicon (LTPS) TFT LCD display that features Photo Fine Premia technology, bringing a wide viewing angle and a wide color range to the masses once this display is incorporated across a range of devices. According to Epson, this new display is able to produce beautiful images despite being viewed from an angle of 80 degrees regardless of the position - from the top, bottom, left, or right. It is also able to cover 94% of the Adobe RGB color gamut. Photo Fine Premia will bring together Epson Imaging Device’s Photo Fine Vistarich wide viewing angle technology as well as the Photo Fine Chromarich wide color gamut technology for the best image quality possible, be it still or moving images from virtually any angle.

Microsoft has supported rumors floating around of a 120GB Zune with the following statement.
You’ve probably all seen about 120GB @the FCC- and just wanted to send you a note to confirm that is indeed part of the plan. There’s definitely more details coming in the way of new software and hardware, pricing etc.
Hmm - new Zune software, check. New Zune pricing, check. New Zune customers? Microsoft might run into some problems there judging by past records.

Sony just launched its highest-end GPS navigation system, the NV-U94T. We liked the overall physical design of the NV-U series and the look of the user-interface, but among the many features (like real-time traffic info), there are a few that we found particularly interesting:
High resolution display: 480×272 is equivalent to what you get on a Sony PSP, and believe me, it makes a huge difference in readability when compared to 320×240 screens.
Easy to dock/remove cradle: leaving the GPS in plain sight might result in having your car broken into and many users have to add/remove the GPS often. Now, the mere presence of the dock might trigger a break-in as well, but in too annoying to remove the mount as well.

With fuel costs going nowhere but up for a long time already, it makes perfect sense as people scramble for greener solutions. Unfortunately, public transport systems aren’t exactly very green yet at this point in time, but a pedal-powered monorail concept could soon change things. Imagine propelling yourself forward on a monorail track using nothing but pedal power - there are, of course, many questions that are raised. What happens if the carriage in front of me pedals much slower? What if I have freeloaders in my carriage that are too lazy to pedal in a united manner, instead preferring to take a break that lasts the entire journey?

It is without a doubt that most devices these days isn’t worth their salt - or should I say, circuitry, if they don’t have their very own product page. The Everun Note has finally gotten that crucial component up on the world wide web, and it irritates me to no end when pricing details are not released on the product page itself. Word is circulating that the Everun Note will cost somewhere in the region of $800, so you might as well prepare that amount of dough (and some more just in case) while anticipating the September release date to be true. Would you be picking this up over the other alternatives in the market?

Full HD resolution (1080p)Precisely tuned speakers3.1-channel Virtual Surround Sound sytem50,000:1 (LG70)/30,000:1 (LG80) contrast ratioUSB 2.0 connectivity
It is interesting to note that the speakers will automatically slide sideways whenever you turn on the TV to add to the overall cool factor. No idea on pricing, but these will definitely add a ‘wow’ factor to your living room.

Garmin adds a Series 7 to their GPS line up. the design is reminiscent of the successful of the Nuvi Series and the Nuvi 785T is the most feature-packed of all: it comes with a lifetime subscription to traffic alerts, which is the best way of selling it), a 480×272 pixels touch-display that allows Garmin to use an enhanced visual interface, with a 3D rendering of the road that is supposed to be accurate enough to show you which lane to take (like Navigon does). We wonder how fast the rendering because on the Series 6, it was slow. The most expensive model will cost $700 but depending on your needs, there are more affordable ones.
