AT&T HTC Touch Pro

AT&T HTC Touch Pro

AT&T isn’t offering just one hot touch screen phone, but it has another model up its sleeves - the HTC Touch Pro. I’ll be the first to admit that this won’t even come near the iPhone (both generations) in terms of sales, but it is an interesting handset to own after all, featuring 3G connectivity over the 850 band, the TouchFlo 3D interface and AT&T branding. You’ll miss out on the front facing VGA camera though, so don’t throw away that webcam just yet.

PS3 Crammed Into Laptop Format

PS3 Crammed Into Laptop Format

PS3HaX modder “Pirate” rolled up his sleeves to produce this PS3 Laptop that features a LED-lit display that allows you to get your portable high definition gaming fix - tethered to a power cord, of course. Don’t forget just how heavy this thing will be, and you won’t be able to enjoy full High Definition on such a small display (relatively speaking, of course, when you compared to those large 42″ and above screens). Apparently Pirate is already going to start work on a 2nd generation model by sending this design to the fat house.

Dell Latitude E6400 ATG

Dell Latitude E6400 ATG

Dell has a notebook for those rough-and-tumble types - the Latitude E6400 ATG which was originally leaked out much earlier this year. We do know that it will be powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processors, is able to hold up to 8GB of RAM, boasts a ruggedized hard drive to withstand nasty shocks (or an SSD if you’re so inclined), along with other regular hardware such as Wi-Fi connectivity and an integrated graphics chipset. The outdoor viewable display even comes with an LED backlight, making it ideal to work under the sweltering summer in a field somewhere. It was originally configurable and available online, but somehow or rather the product page performed a Houdini shortly after.

Suzukaze Kuchofuku Seat Cushion

Suzukaze Kuchofuku Seat Cushion

Blogging might sound easy to certain quarters, but it is no joke to stay tethered to your desk all day (and night) long as you scour the Net for the most interesting stories to serve up our readers. This would make even the most expensive chair uncomfortable by the end of the day, which is why the Suzukaze Kuchofuku air conditioned seat cushion would be a welcome addition to those who spend hours upon hours of their waking time glued in front of a computer. The built-in fan touts to move more than 170 liters of air per minute, helping keep your rear end cool (hopefully that translates to a cool head as well). No idea on pricing, but it is good for anyone who’s buttocks measure smaller than 41cm x 61cm.

Miniature LED Garden Light

Miniature LED Garden Light

Talk about sprucing up your garden with miniature lights that resemble flowers, thanks to the magic of fiber optics and LEDs. You will need a found box to function as a base if there is no way for you to cut acrylic, and it would be best to stick to batteries instead of using a wall wart if you’re a beginner with DIY projects. This looks particularly complicated to make, but if you have the time and dedication to churn one out, it would make for the perfect gift for the missus.

Datamancer Rolls Out The Archbishop

Datamancer Rolls Out The Archbishop

The Archbishop PC case mod is definitely something way more unique that what we’ve seen so far, made out of stained glass to complete the religious theme.

This is a PC/LCD/Keyboard/”Mouse” combo built using some of the more attractive design elements of the Gothic school of architecture. The LCD lives inside a scratch-built Gothic arch with quatrefoil designs and stained-glass doors. The PC case features the same Morisco-patterned glass, brass embellishments, a hinged lid for access to the drives and hardware, and soft, ambient red lighting. The PC is quite fast and is actually built as a gaming computer.

I wonder what happens when you view questionable material over The Archbishop - will you spontaneously combust?

Indilinx Barefoot SSD A Speed Demon

Indilinx Barefoot SSD A Speed Demon

It would seem that SSDs have to potential to go even faster, with Indilinx currently taking the lead of fastest SSD in the market (where read speed is concerned, of course) by hitting 230Mb/s while supporting capacities of up to 512GB thanks to multi-level cell NAND flash. Needless to say, any SSD that size will cost you a really handsome amount, so if you want the most cost effective method for portable data storage, the hard drive’s still the way to go. Indilinx won’t be rolling out their speedy SSD until Q4 this year, but that’s no excuse for not saving up for one from now onwards.
