Since many devices these days are powered and recharged via USB, it makes perfect sense to have a USB cable nearby with you at all times. Unfortunately, not everyone carries a pouch or bag that has accommodates cables properly, which is where the Lisco USB Snake comes in. When not in use, all you need to do is slap it around your wrist to make a fashion statement, and it stays there until an occasion calls for you to whip out the snake - USB-wise, of course. This slap bracelet-inspired design is covered in a silky and soft polyurethane material that is both comfortable and stylish to wear.

With the shape and size of a ping-pong ball, this tiny DVR camera can record 320×240 or 640×480 resolution video in MPEG-4 on a tiny SD card, and it can store up to 8 GB of data. Sadly, this unique camera is only available in Korea from 189,000 to 229,000 Korean Won (roughly $185 to $225), check it out at Korea’s Funshop.

The Motorola Alexander’s spy shot comes in all its blur glory, making it all the more authentic. Think about it - you’re a Motorola employee who is also a fan of BGR, and want to claim your 15 minutes of fame by sneaking in a quick shot, resulting in such a photo. Nevertheless, I don’t really like the oval design while the keypad looks just too toy-like for my tastes. Mom did tell me not to judge a phone by its design, so here’s the nitty gritty on its hardware.
Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system5 megapixel/8 megapixel camera (unconfirmed)NVIDIA mobile chipsetAssisted GPS
All we do know is, the Motorola Alexander will be released sometime in Q4 this year, which leaves us 5 more months of speculation at worst. Hopefully this handset will be the one that revives greatness in the big M, just like how the young Alexander conquered most of the civilized world many hundreds of years ago.

Social networking fans, beware! There is a virus going around that parades around as messages from your ‘friends’ from your MySpace or Facebook accounts, but in reality is an extremely destructive virus. Known as Win32.Koobecaf.a, it sends malicious content to MySpace users, while Facebook fans will have to contend with a variant known as Win32.Koobecaf.b. Be on your guard always, put on your thinking cap before you click on just about any link, and do keep your computer updated with the latest anti-virus software (and definitions) always.

Kingston hails its new stylish and small DataTraveler Mini Slim flash drives to the market, and I suspect that a good percentage of its owners will eventually lose them no thanks to the extremely diminutive size that makes them perfect candidates from getting misplaced. Available in black, blue or pink colors, the DataTraveler Mini Slim measures a mere 1.5″ x 0.6″ x 0.25″, and could stake a place for being the smallest USB flash drives currently available. You will be able to pick up the 2GB and 4GB models for £4.60 and £7.90, respectively. Is that super cheap or what?

Goodmans has released what it touts to be the smallest pocket DAB radio in the world - the GHDAB101. This device is definitely a tiny wonder, fitting into just about any crevice with its 69.5mm x 44mm x 21.4mm measurements, while leaving you with a featherlight feeling as it weighs not a single gram over 48. Each GHDAB101 is accompanied by a pair of headphones that surprisingly doubles up as the aerial as well, so make sure you don’t lose it during your travels. A couple of AAA batteries are able to provide up to 10 hours of non-stop DAB listening, and 15 hours if you prefer the older FM band. Other features include a blue backlit display, volume level controls and a favorite icon (up to 10 pre-set stations). You can pick up the Goodmans GHDAB101 for £44.99.

Somehow the term fast and cheap doesn’t seem to gel well together when it comes to Solid State Drives (SSDs), but somehow or rather Micron aims to marry the two adjectives with their new C200 line of multi-level cell (MLC) flash storage. This drive is able to hit a theoretical read speed of 250MB/s, while offering write speeds of up to 100MB/s. Notebook manufacturers can choose from 2.5″ or 1.8″ versions, where the former can hold up to 256GB of data while the latter has a maximum limit of 128GB. The C200 SSDs will connect to the corresponding notebook via Serial ATA, and they ought to ship sometime this fall. There is no word on pricing, but as with anything new, they ought to cost quite a pretty penny before the law of mass market economics kicks in.

If you think all your USB flash drive can do is to transport precious data everywhere you go, think again. The Freecom MediaPlayer XS enables you to play audio and video from a USB flash drive, redirecting such media to a stereo or TV instead. This means there is no need for a media center PC anymore (if you aren’t into anything more than just watching or listening off the respective media files from your USB flash drive, of course). The MediaPlayer XS is compatible with virtually any USB external hard drive or flash drive, regardless of whether they have been formatted as FAT32 or NTFS formats. File compatibility includes MP3, WMA, WAV, MPEG-1, 2 or 4, JPG, M-JPG, BMP and GIF. Each $109 purchase comes with a remote control.

With the iPhone 3G packing in even more functions than its predecessor, it makes perfect sense for the battery to drain much faster too. Not to mention the plethora of fun apps from the App Store to keep your iPhone 3G clamoring for more juice most of the time. Enter the iPhone 3G Solar Charging Case that not only offers adequate protection for your precious, it even comes with a built-in solar panel to convert the sun’s energy into electricity which is stored in a 1,500mAh battery which is capable of providing a full charge for your beloved iPhone 3G. It will take around 3 hours to recharge itself, and I’d recommend taking your iPhone out if this is going to be placed under direct sunlight. Go green by forking out $54 for this unique case.
