Steampunk Mouse Not Ergonomic

Steampunk Mouse Not Ergonomic

The Steampunk mouse you see here will definitely fit well with the rest of your steampunk collection back home, but don’t go crying to the nearest doctor should your wrist suddenly seize up after spending hours of online gaming with this mouse due to a sudden, severe attack of RSI. This was originally a Genius mouse, and some Russian dude (inspired by a healthy amount of vodka, no less) decided to punk out this peripheral to what it is currently. If only he had a matching keyboard to go along with it…

GPS Tracks Domestic Violence Suspects

GPS Tracks Domestic Violence Suspects

GPS is such wonderful technology when used the right way - it is now being utilized by law enforcement officials to help track suspects of domestic violence and stalking, with Michigan being the latest state to jump on board the bandwagon. Heck, this new GPS-powered system even comes with an extra automated system that will alert past victims of the perpetrator’s presence. Hopefully it comes with a lifetime of calm-inducing pills to prevent heart attacks in these victims whenever he/she is alerted.

Asus Eee PC 701SD Sneak Peek

Asus Eee PC 701SD Sneak Peek

Here’s taking a look at the upcoming Eee PC 701SD that will share a somewhat similar chassis as the Eee PC 901, albeit without the rounded edges. In addition, the Eee logo is located on the top right corner, while the touchpad separates both left and right click buttons. Good to know the 701SD will feature a 30GB hard drive which makes it more palatable to use - I hate toting around an external hard drive whenever I travel as that means having one more thing to look out for when I pack. Since the 701SD will come with a hard drive instead of an SSD, logic dictates that the price should be lower - hopefully Asus doesn’t disappoint here.

Yamaha PAS Brace Electric Bike

Yamaha PAS Brace Electric Bike

Yamaha Motor has a brand new electric bike - the PAS Brace, and this model comes equipped with an assistance system that is smart enough to adopt to the gear position and driver’s running speed. It will feature 8 gears in total, and to sum things up, this bike is able to adjust the level of electric assistance whenever you shift gears or change your current speed. For example, should the bike pass the 15km/h mark, the auxiliary power unit will reduce its output (depending on the current gear), while a breach of 24km/h will stop whatever electric assistance. You will be able to choose from black, red or white colors as the PAS Brace electric bike comes with a sticker price tag of $1,150.

Greatest Hits Get Even Cheaper

Greatest Hits Get Even Cheaper

Sony’s Greatest Hits collection for the PS3 is now selling at a cheap, cheap price (relatively speaking, of course) of $29.99, so for those of you who have yet to pick up Warhawk and a slew of other great titles, now’s the time to do so. What qualifies a game to fall under this category? Well, the title must have been on the market for 11 months and moved over half a million copies at the very least. Great for budget summer gaming fun.

TRENDnet Dual Band Wireless N Gigabit Router

TRENDnet Dual Band Wireless N Gigabit Router

If there ever was a long product name, the TRENDnet Dual Band Wireless N Gigabit Router would definitely be one of them. This new networking device allows one to experience the speeds and thrills of running 802.11n Wi-Fi on the faster but less compatible 5GHz band in addition to the tried-and-tested 2.4GHz band. A trio of MIMO (Multiple In, Multiple Out) antennas are able to carry data at theoretical speeds of up to 300Mbps, boasting a connectivity range of up to half a dozen times that of a standard 802.11g network. I’m not too sure about real world applications, with all the concrete around, could we see a doubling in range at best? Well, the TRENDnet Dual Band Wireless N Gigabit Router will retail for approximately $160.

Asus Ultimate and Pro Fashion Netbooks

Asus Ultimate and Pro Fashion Netbooks

Ok, with Asus prepping itself to roll out a deluge of netbooks, it makes me wonder where the line between a netbook and notebook is drawn. After all, the Ultimate and Pro Fashion models aren’t performance slouches to say the least, featuring dual-core Intel Atom processors and expanded storage capacities. Word has it that one of the models (not too sure which one as it wasn’t revealed) will come with a four hour battery life, a 10.1″ widescreen LED backlit panel, and a 32GB SSD. With costs hitting anywhere from $700 to $900, you can get a decent budget notebook for the same amount with a larger screen, hard drive and even an optical drive thrown inside. Which camp are you on?

MP3/Aromatherapy Entertainment Pod

MP3/Aromatherapy Entertainment Pod

Check out this concept of an MP3/Aromatherapy entertainment pod that would do well to help you wind down after a hard day’s work with tunes from an orchestra as well as your favorite aromatherapy scent. All you need to do is pop off the end cap, place the selected scent tablet and you’re good to go. Interestingly enough, the earphones function as delivery pathways for the odor. This unique concept has been dubbed “Sweet Honey” for obvious reasons, just make sure Winnie the Pooh doesn’t get too close to this one.

Scrabulous Is Back

Scrabulous Is Back

Not in the way you remember it though - it has evolved into the game known as WordScraper. Similar in nature albeit having a few different rules, it makes that break away from a potential lawsuit from Hasbro. I guess the winner would be Facebook users who now have a fantastic game to play without the shadow of Hasbro’s legal team hanging over them. Not only that, this move by Hasbro has resulted in a lot of bad press, and there is a call to boycott Hasbro products by many loyal Scrabulous fans, who are now enjoying Wordscraper. How do you find the changes?
