For the one percent of .Mac/MobileMe email account holders who are left hanging for a week without access, there is some good news, if you could call it that under the current circumstances. The outage that started on July 18 may be coming to a close. Apple has posted a tech note on the ongoing issues, launched a blog to cover MobileMe introduction challenges, and provided some additional details about what happened. As of 10pm PDT last night, the one-percenters should be able to log into MobileMe webmail and retrieve messages from the July 18–25 outage window, though you won’t be able to do much about mail and messages received before the problem started. Apple also warns affected users NOT to change MobileMe passwords, aliases or storage allocations until the problem is cleared up.

Check out these hot-looking Xbox 360 consoles that are currently on parade at ComicCon. They consist of one Watchmen, one DC Comics, one Gears of War, and one Terminator Salvation models, and all of these could end up in your home if you emerge as a winner in the Warner Bros contest. These cases will surely make you the toast of the neighborhood, but the (super)heroes depicted on the case itself aren’t guarantee that they won’t end up with a case of RRoD (Red Ring of Death). Perhaps the sizzling hot artwork has something to do with it?

It looks as though Nokia’s N85 will be headed towards North America, coming in a different variant known as Nokia N85-3. In line with past Nokia phones like the N95, the 3 indicates a North American unit, and some of the expected features include :-
320 x 240 displayEDGE, HSDPA and WCDMA connectivityWi-Fi receiverOnboard camera (speculated to be 3.2 or 5 megapixels)S60 3rd Edition with Feature Pack 2
Patience is the keyword here to see if the N85 really arrives on our shores or not.

Flynn Product Design has come up with a stunning take on a futuristic, alien-like Bluetooth webcam concept that offers unpredecented flexibility where camera angles are concerned. This concept webcam comes with a ball and socket joint, connecting both base and body units for unparalleled viewing freedom. There is no word on resolution or any other specifications, but being Bluetooth-enabled surely means you will need to recharge it from time to time. I sure hope this thing comes with decent battery life then since it would be a bummer to hold a video conversation halfway only to get cut off after running out of juice unexpectedly.

Sega’s Megadrive certainly ruled the console world when it boasted way superior graphics to the NES, but Sega’s heydays have long passed. Good to know that Blaze will be coming up with a 16-bit Megadrive handheld console this month, enabling you to play Sega Megadrive classics including Sonic and Knuckles, Golden Axe, Shinobi and Ecco the Dolphin. Other games that are in the pipeline consist of Alex Kidd - Enchanted Castle, Alien Storm Altered Beast, Arrow Flash, Crackdown, Decap Attack, Dr Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Ecco Junior, Flicky, Gain Ground, Jewel Master, Kid Chameleon, Sonic Spinball and Shadow Dancer, and retro gamers will probably be shedding a tear of joy by now. Other features include :-
Plug & play portable video game system 20 built-in 16-bit SEGA licensed games Built-in speakers Build in color LCD displayTV out connection TV format: PAL
Powered by a trio of AAA batteries, the Blaze Megadrive handheld will retail for £29.99. Man, three AAA batteries are all it needs?! Remember the battery guzzling Sega Game Gear? How technology has changed. Well, this looks similar in terms of hardware with the $39.99Megadrive Portable that we covered last year, save for the difference in external packaging.

Remember the Nokia Tube phone from The Dark Knight? If only real world Nokias could come up with such a level of sophistication - never mind, I’ll still settle for a movie-based device with souped down features. Some of the leaked specifications include :-

You can bet your bottom Batarang that this will likely be a mid-range to high-end handset, so forget about picking it up at basement prices from a carrier when it is released.
