Ichikoh Industries of Japan have developed a white LED-based adaptive front lighting system (AFS) which is smart enough to control the light angles of both left and right headlamps independently, which would work fine if my car could suddenly split up into two Batpods. The headlamp boasts a total luminous flux of 12,000 lumens, which is roughly the equal to a HID lamp. Each white LED loaded on individual units come with a quartet of LED chips, and is smart enough to respond to various driving conditions including straight lane driving, curve driving and highway driving. Guess road safety has just gone up by another notch, eh?

Frankly, I’ve never heard of Journey before until this day, but I’m sure that there are some hardcore Journey fans who will be more than willing to part with their cash for this Journey MP3 player. It comes with 1GB of internal memory and boasts 11 of Journey’s new songs in addition to 11 re-recorded classics. Walmart is currently carrying this limited edition $39.88 MP3 player, but I would rather settle for something more mainstream instead.

Designer Joongoo Lee has dreamt of this Samsung Costume 2.5″ hard drive concept that takes its inspiration from a ladies make-up compact located in most hand bags. It will fit comfortably into the palm of your hand, and I will even go out on a limb here and speculate that the Costume will be able to hold a maximum of 320GB of storage space thanks to SATA connectivity utilized here. Won’t be surprised if it came with a vanity mirror though.

If you do not have the luxury of setting up an actual band, why not settle for Rock Band instead? It is far from the real thing, but at least a bunch of your mates will be able to get together and exercise that wild imagination. Of course, the “instruments” used aren’t real, but here’s a way to up the realism ante - by adding a trio of actual cymbals into an existing Rock Band setup. Too bad there aren’t any Rock Band-compatible drum kits at this point in time, leaving you with plastic sets. Sounds like this DIY project will place you in a clashing good time when done!

Asustek Computer wants to include a new feature in their Eee PC range that would be more than welcome - a “whole day” battery life as well as Internet storage. Word has it that Asustek will also roll out software and hardware upgrades each month to fill gaps in the netbook market, but will that move put people off from buying stuff that gets obsolete so soon? Considering the Eee PC’s dismal battery life, I would definitely look forward to one that is able to last a trans-Atlantic flight without dying a couple of hours in the journey.

This ought to be the geekiest belt buckle ever - the NES Belt Buckle. It doesn’t miniaturize the parts of an NES into a board small enough to fit in a belt buckle, but relies on an entire NES instead to be the belt buckle. I’m not sure if having a beer guy would bode well, but otherwise it ought to offer adequate protection for your nether regions against kung-fu kicks. Definitely high up on the weird factor, the NES Belt Buckle will retail for $300 each. I suggest saving that money by rummaging through the attic for a working NES and coming up with one for yourself.

Man, to think that even fingers need some massaging! What next, just a toe massager (never mind those automated foot reflexology machines)? This DanBall device comes with three receptacles for you to stick three fingers in, and it will automatically apply an intense shiatsu massage to the pressure points on your fingertips for up to a minute. Your fingernails will also be treated with infrared rays simultaneously with claims that growth is promoted, while a soothing melody and LED light show combo helps keep the rest of your body calm. It will take around 3 hours for a full recharge, and each battery can last for up to 50 one minute sessions. I sure hope that this works as claimed, after all, splashing out $1,999 for it is no joke.

This waterproof MP3 player from Lancer is definitely not the first, but it is tough enough to function in freezing temperatures while boasting enough intestinal fortitude to take in spills and falls during your next snowboard adventure down a slope. It weighs a mere 25 grams and comes with a matching pair of waterproof silicon ear buds, compatible with both MP3 and WMA audio formats and is accompanied by a lithium battery which plays your favorite tunes non-stop for up to 8 hours. I wouldn’t fork out $185 for just 1GB of internal memory, waterproof or not. How about you?

Summer is here, and Thanko is on a mission to keep things cool with their new Thanko Cooler USB keyboard. It works pretty much the same way as those bowling lane machines do, featuring air vents to keep those fingers and palms dry. Good thing the built-in fan comes with a switch on the front end of the keyboard, as you can turn it off whenever you don’t need it. A trio of fans will ensure that you get an adequate amount of air to keep your hands dry as you furiously type out that report for your boss. I’m not too sure how noisy this is going to get though, but hopefully your co-workers will understand as they too benefit from not having to shake a clammy hand with you the next time. The Thanko Cooler USB keyboard will retail for approximately $62.
