Yellow iPhone Display Intentional

I don’t know what to make of this, but according to Apple, the yellow tinge found on Apple’s new iPhone 3G is supposed to be intentional. This is supposed to make the display “more natural” and easier on the eyes. I’m not too elated with that answer, as I’ve used my Treo 600 for long enough to see the screen turn gradually yellow, and let me tell you , that’s not a very nice thing to look at either. Heck, even my Nintendo DS Lite is turned on at full brightness most of the time to get rid of whatever yellow for a more complete gaming experience. Apparently, people have been trying to look for ways to reduce the color yellow, and one of the fixes include updating the firmware to 5A347 from 5A345. That should help a wee (no pun intended) bit.
