Sanwa 400-BT001

Sanwa 400-BT001

The new iPhone 3G might be phat and all, but surely the combination of a large touch screen display, 3G connectivity and relatively small size makes a potent combination for poor battery life. Sanwa forsees that problem and has a solution in the form of the 400-BT001. This rechargeable external battery will provide the iPhone 3G with extra 3.5 hours of talktime, 7 hours of video playback and more than 5 times that amount when it comes to non-stop audio. Each of the 1,200mAh Lithium Ion battery is equipped with a retractable USB cable and a LED that indicates the remaining battery life. The Sanwa 400-BT001 will add another 50 grams to your iPhone 3G, but the benefits far outweigh the sacrifice. At $46 a pop, this is relatively cheap.

Diamond Phones Not For All

Diamond Phones Not For All

Can’t think of an anniversary gift that is so unique, there is only a handful of its kind in the world? Well, how about checking out the Knalihs Athem Diamond encrusted Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte or the diamond encrusted iPhone 3G (man, they’re fast)? These limited edition handsets will have a maximum circulation of just 20 units. You will find 1,000 diamonds placed on the Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte while the iPhone 3G has 400 rocks adorning it. I wonder just how much either handset will cost, but I suspect even if I slave away until 80 years old, I won’t be able to afford this.

Microsoft Lips Offers New Way to Sing

Microsoft Lips Offers New Way to Sing

Those of you who like karaoke will definitely fall in love with Lips that was recently announced by Microsoft at the ongoing E3 show. What makes Lips so special is the fact that it enables you to sing songs from your own music collection, giving you an excuse to wipe the dust off your much maligned Zune. Wireless microphones will be used, and they double up as a tambourine whenever you aren’t belting out a tune since it comes with a motion-sensor within.

Sony PSP Firmware 4.05 Out

Sony PSP Firmware 4.05 Out

Man, we knew that Sony will be releasing the PSP firmware 4.05 soon, but not this soon! It is already out, and as mentioned earlier yesterday, firmware 4.05 will see a couple of new visualizers, one if you happen to have a wallpaper while another is for those who don’t. Folks who fall into the latter category will see waves in the background reduced to a solitary one, while those in the former will get to enjoy a water rippling effect on top of your image. Other than that, firmware 4.05 is uninspiring to say the least, and you don’t get anything groundbreaking either. Hopefully it won’t cause any unstability in the hardware.

Asahi Beer Buddy

Asahi Beer Buddy

Man, what would I give to have the Asahi Beer Buddy in my home? This robot not only stores beer in its belly, it is capable of pouring the nectar of the gods out for me - without nagging me on chores that are left undone as I prefer to laze around in my lazy chair during the sweltering summer. Smaller than a standard regrigerator, the Asahi Beer Buddy has enough space to hold up to half a dozen beer cans as well as a couple of beer-filled mugs. Pressing a button will automatically cause the Beer Buddy to pop open a cold one for you. There is no price attached to the Asahi Beer Buddy, as the only way to get it (legitimately) would be to collect all 36 seals found on bottles of Asahi beer which can then be redeemed for the Asahi Beer Buddy. I’d wait until someone puts this on auction on eBay.

Bluetooth-enabled iGiveUp

Bluetooth-enabled iGiveUp

Interestingly enough, someone has managed to cobble together the iGiveUp - a Bluetooth handgun handset for the iPhone. In this project, you pull the trigger to receive calls as well as end them. Listening is done via the barrel, while you talk into the grip itself. This is interesting since plenty of folk do make the thumb-and-forefinger gun-to-the-head sign whenever somebody they detest calls. You won’t be needing any powertools or glue with this project, so it won’t leave that much of a mess to clear up. Not exactly the most practical device to use when tackling your calls, but it is good enough for that novelty factor to impress people.

Hello Kitty 1-Seg TV Receiver

Hello Kitty 1-Seg TV Receiver

Hello Kitty strikes again, this time in the form of the 1-Seg TV receiver. Of course, the most notable feature would be Hello Kitty’s face taking main stage on the pop-up screen design. When it is not used as a TV, you will be toting it around as a Hello Kitty face - something not every man would be willing to do. Power consumption is extremely low, as it sips a mere 1W from its rechargeable lithium ion battery that can last up to 4.5 hours per charge. Folks who collect all things Hello Kitty can pick this up in Japan this July 18th, and it will retail for a shade under $200 - $197 to be exact.

Stalker Airship Vehicle Concept

Stalker Airship Vehicle Concept

While it is chilling to note that our world has turned into a post-apocalyptic environment sometime in the 22nd century (no thanks to nuclear weapons), there is a tinge of positiveness with the vision of the Stalker airship vehicles that roam the earth. These great ships will carry humans to explore protected areas around the world, and will do so in conditions that won’t make it blow up accidentally anytime soon unlike the Hindenburg. The shape doesn’t look too convenient for efficient flight though, but then again concept stretch beyond conventional imagination.
