HP has new Color LaserJets

HP has new Color LaserJets

HP has recently rolled out a couple more color laser printers in the form of the Color LaserJet CP1215 and CP1518ni. Both of these models are now available in Taiwan, with the former retailing for $328 while the latter is going for $460. Both of these models boast HP’s in-line printing technology and third-generation ColorSphere toner, making it suitable for small business and SOHO users. The CP1518ni will support PictBridge photo print format, offering a much lower average printing cost compared to color inkjet printers. Has anyone tried it out to prove those claims?

Nike+ for the 3G iPhone

Nike+ for the 3G iPhone

It is hoped by many fitness buffs that Nike+ will be made available for the 3G iPhone, and there could be cause for celebration according to a press release from US gym giant 24 Hour Fitness.

“Nike and Apple worked with major gym equipment manufacturers to make their cardio equipment Nike + iPod compatible so gym members can easily track and record workouts on cardio equipment like treadmills, stair steppers, elliptical trainers and stationary bikes.”

Do you think that’s confirmation, or is it just false hope?

Nokia’s Supernova series have finally been officially recognized, and these will take over the current position of mid-range fashion handsets. There are four phones in total - the 7210, 7310, 7510, and 7610. Hmm, sounds as though some of these numbers have been used before, except that those were not part of any family. Head on after the jump for an excerpt from our sister site Uberphones regarding the handsets and what they have to offer.

DIY Lemon Light

DIY Lemon Light

The Lemon Light is a DIY project that is powered by…a lemon. Yes, this portable light uses a fruit to provide you with some light, making it a great camping device when the clouds are obscuring the sun to power your solar panel, without a power outlet in sight for the next 50 miles. This isn’t the first fruit-powered project to be featured, but it is definitely interesting. Best of all is, you can always have some lemonade once you’re done with it.

17M iPhone 3G ordered, Rates, MMS Coming and Remote Application

17M iPhone 3G ordered, Rates, MMS Coming and Remote Application

Today’s news about the iPhone, starting with the rates: Rogers has announced plans in the $60-$115 (Canadian) range. In Sweden, plans will start at $50 and in Norway they’ll be as high as $80 (link).

Launch preparations: Apple as reportedly ordered 17M handsets, which is huge of course, but given the anticipation and the much lower price point, it’s likely that they will sell all that.

MMS support: For those who care, it’s rumored to be in the works.

Universal Remote Control: Not surprisingly, the idea of a display-only universal remote control makes sense: you can program any remote and mimic exactly its functionalities. There are people already working on applications, but I remember that Apple filed a patent a while back… That will give me a pretext to get an iPod touch and dump my current iPods. Not official yet

CDT GPS Looks Different

CDT GPS Looks Different

Talk about a radically different GPS navigation system with portable media player capabilities - the CDT GPS PMP (so many Three Letter Acronyms!) amazingly retails for just $102. It features a 3″ touch screen display and does the whole gamut of audio and video formats. Interesting to note the hand grips located at the side though, does this mean you’re getting this for a fast driver since you’ll be holding onto the CDT GPS PMP for dear life while giving directions to your destination?
