Kohler Fountainhead VibrAcoustic Bathtub

Kohler Fountainhead VibrAcoustic Bathtub

The Kohler Fountainhead VibrAcoustic Bathtub adds a whole new dimension to your bathtub, throwing in sound vibration, chromatherapy, and music to enrich your soaking experience. After all, research has proven that sound vibration, music, and chromatherapy works wonders when it comes to relieving one of stress while keeping the mind at ease. The only thing missing is a complimentary rubber duckie to keep me company during my relaxing baths in a Kohler Fountainhead VibrAcoustic Bathtub. There is no word on pricing, but it ought to come with a premium over standard bathtubs.

Virtual Console USB Drive Duplicator

Virtual Console USB Drive Duplicator

Should you ever find yourself in a position where you need to duplicate USB flash drives on a large scale, pronto, then the Virtual Console USB Drive Duplicator is the candidate for you. This device is capable of producing 60 copies simultaneously, replicating 1GB flash drives in slightly more than two minutes. The duplicator itself comes with a Smart Duplication feature that only copies files instead of making a binary copy of the source flash drive, claiming to be the fastest on the market at this point of time. Data can also be encrypted when written to the source drives using 128-bit AES encryption just in case the RIAA come knocking down your door. The price to pay for fast duplication? $7,999 including shipping and handling.

Samsung 3G EV-DO

With rumors running rampant that a new 3G iPhone is eminent, Samsung has quietly released what they believe is an iPhone killer. There have been others before, but the new Samsung 3G Instinct has the most promise of the bunch. Running on Sprint’s 3G “EV-DO Rev. A” data network the Instinct looks a lot like the iPhone, but has 3G, a replaceable battery, and haptic feedback for the touchscreen. The Instinct is due to be released in June and by that time there is no telling what form or features will grace the iPhone, but it’s good to see some competition that might actually be competition.

Asustek aims to free Eee PC Brand

Asustek aims to free Eee PC Brand

Guess Asustek Computer has plans to make Eee an independent brand with an entire lineup of products, consisting of the original Eee PC notebook, the Eee TV (E-TV), Eee desktop (E-DT), and Eee monitor which will all roll out before Q3 2008 is over. Asustek hopes that this sub-brand will be able to change the perception of people that the Eee range is just meant for the budget conscious market. What do you think of this move - is it wise and prudent? Apparently, there is news of an 11″ Eee PC before the year is over, so those who can wait till then might as well exercise a little bit more patience.

InPhase announces Tapestry Hologram Storage

InPhase announces Tapestry Hologram Storage

InPhase Technologies has announced its Tapestry hologram storage product which will roll out this may, consisting of 120mm (5.25″) diameter clear plastic disks in a cartridge case. A blue laser will be used to store holographic images in the depth of the recording medium on the disk’s surface. Initial disks have a life span of 50 years, featuring read and write speeds of up to 20MB/s. Unfortunately, these won’t be cheap since as each Tapestry drive will cost up to $18,000 and individual disks cost $180 each, storing a total of 300GB. Maybe the seventh-generation Xbox or PlayStation will see this medium being used, and hopefully we won’t have another format war coming up.

Suzuki offers Navigation System for Free

Suzuki offers Navigation System for Free

If you happen to have an eye for the Suzuki SX4 model, rejoice as the Japanese automobile manufacturer has decided to offer a touch screen navigation system for free in all their 2009 models, making them the first company to do so in the sub-$16,000 vehicle class. The flip-up unit will be supplied by Garmin and known as “T.R.I.P”, offering Bluetooth connectivity, live traffic info, the location of the lowest gas prices as well as a fair bit of points of interest. You can even upload your favorite routes thanks to Suzuki’s own social networkin-type website. Do you think this marketing strategy will see more and more people purchase Suzukis just because of a free GPS navigation system?

Nokia announces 3600 Slide

Nokia announces 3600 Slide

Nokia has yet another slider form factor to join the fray - the 3600 Slide which is definitely easy on the eye IMHO. It features soft ceramic paint and metal combined with high gloss surfaces and gradated colors that make it a joy to touch and see. I suppose casual music listeners who find that exhausting a 300 song playlist is difficult to do will definitely be happy with the Nokia 3600 Slide’s microSD memory card slot that can hold up to 3,000 songs on a single microSD memory card. Some features on the Nokia 3600 Slide include :- 3.2 megapixel camera with dual LED flashTV-out featureBluetooth and 3G connectivitymicroSD memory card slotYou can expect to pay more than the recommended retail price of 175 Euros excluding taxes and subsidies once it is available.

AMD Intros Computer Brand

AMD Intros Computer Brand

AMD has just rolled out its first computer brand that targets SMBs, getting design and sales help from its major chip customers like Dell Inc. The AMD Business Class desktop PCs will roll out first, followed closely by notebooks sometime in the second half of 2008. Do you think this new product line will see AMD gain some ground back from its biggest rival, Intel, who commands the majority of the market share? Only time will tell, and the Business Class does look good occupying a niche market that will soon expand to cater to larger corporate clients. Processors used in the desktops include AMD Phenom X3 triple-core, AMD Phenom X4 quad-core processors and AMD Athlon X2 dual-core processors.
