Keychain Lasers Feel The Force

Keychain Lasers Feel The Force

Laser pointers are pretty boring office equipment, but if you happen to be some sort of Star Wars fan, then no ordinary laser pointer will do for you. What you need are these miniature laser pointers that have been shaped in the form of Darth Vader and Darth Maul’s lightsabers. I suppose while everyone else is enthralled by your PowerPoint presentation, you will probably be happy deep down inside, knowing that you were swinging your lightsaber away throughout the talk while besting Emperor Palpatine in an intense duel.

MacBook Air Gets Rival

MacBook Air Gets Rival

The MacBook Air has not even been out for more than a week, and other laptop manufacturers are already rolling up their sleeves to release a rival. Toshiba has the R500 that comes in two flavors - with the €2,500 11J model leading the way by boasting a 64GB SSD and the lack of an optical drive. Toshiba also goes up against Steve Jobs by laying claim to the thinnest and lightest laptop in the world, weighing 779 grams and measuring 25.5mm in thickness. Other features include WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, and HSPDA among others. Between the two, which would you choose?

Flashlight DVR Captures Memories

Flashlight DVR Captures Memories

The Flashlight DVR from Swann Security is a pretty interesting device as it comes with night vision capability, enabling one to record whatever journey made through the darkness of the night. In addition, it features a microphone to pick up noises of things that go bump in the night. I think one will see healthy sales of this for those who are knee-deep in the paranormal as well as security guards who often patrol the graveyard shift. The Flashlight DVR has enough memory to record for up to 8 hours of video which can be subsequently transferred over to the computer via USB. It retails for a rather hefty $399, but think of all the night videos you’ll be able to shoot!

USB Bluetooth V2.0+EDR Adapter

USB Bluetooth V2.0+EDR Adapter

Talk about small - Brando’s tiny USB Bluetooth V2.0+EDR Adapter fits just nicely into your notebook or PC’s USB port to provide Bluetooth functionality. Sounds like the perfect accessory for folks who want to transfer information wirelessly. Unfortunately, it only complies with Bluetooth 1.1 specifications and not 2.0 like many other Bluetooth devices in the market. Still, you get a healthy 10 meter working range with a maximum data rate transmission of 723 Kbps (real world usage will be slower). This 2 gram accessory supports up to seven Bluetooth devices simultaneously. Brando is currently offering the USB Bluetooth V2.0+EDR Adapter for $24.
