Basketball fans take note - the 2007/8 season will see NBA games being aired live on V CAST Mobile TV. This means you’ll be able to enjoy over 70 ESPN-produced NBA games from today onwards, including match-ups featuring the Dallas Mavericks at the Cleveland Cavaliers (8:00 p.m. Eastern) and the Seattle Supersonics at the Denver Nuggets (10:30 p.m. Eastern). There are tons of other interesting matches that are not-to-be-missed throughout the coming season, but take note that programming is subject to change. I suppose we’ll see a bunch of subscribers flocking to Verizon Wireless just to catch games on their respective cellphones. Despite being asked by the boss to hang around the office longer, you don’t have to rush over to the nearest stadium to support your favorite team on match day with this new service.

Deluo has just introduced the first mouse in the world that comes with an integrated GPS receiver, although I’m not too sure what the virtue of having that would bring. Perhaps it is meant to benefit your boss since he’ll then be able to keep track of where you are exactly, and whether you’ve been spending way too much time catching up on gossip at the pantry instead of being at your desk finishing up the reports that are long overdue. The Deluo GPS mouse retails for $95 and comes with Microsoft Streets And Trips 2007 to get you started immediately.

Since the upcoming holiday season will be upon us before we know it, it makes perfect sense to have the Professional Quad Timer in your kitchen especially if you’re the designated cook for the entire family. This multi-event timer helps you manage your cooking process better, and doubles up as a reminder as you juggle up to four different dishes on the stove simultaneously. All four independent timers can be set via the central rotary dial, and these timers can be adjusted, paused, or reset independently. The dual LCD display can show up to two timers at any one time, while four green LEDs represent each of the stovetop burners. The Professional Quad Timer is powered by a couple of AAA batteries and retails for $19.80. I suspect every mom would love to have one of these in their homes.

Looks like the recently released Eye-Fi card has already received support from dotPhoto, a leading online personal media site. This is good news for those with a dotPhoto account as they can automatically upload photos to the site directly from their digital camera as long as they’re within vicinity of a WiFi network, doing away with the hassle of turning on the computer and transferring the photos from there. This looks almost like magic to some, and it works like it too. The coming together of both the website and Eye-Fi card frees up more time for dotPhoto users to snap award-winning shots (in their mind anyways) instead of fumbling with wires and memory card readers.

The Lightening-Strike Personal Protection System was designed especially for women, looking like a normal flashlight at first but storing the capabilities of a personal alarm and a tri-strike crown that works great for maximum impact on pressure points as one applies self-defense techniques. I guess you’ve got to have some kind of self-defense or martial arts knowledge in the first place to take full advantage of it. The Lightening-Strike Personal Protection System retails for $79 a pop.

Ever had to go really badly? During those times when you have no trouble trying to stop the flood of the entire past few days’ worth of digested food, you’re also an impromptu conductor who composes a cacaphony of sounds best left forgotten. This is no problem if you’re at home all alone, but what happens when you have guests over? The Toilet Tunes ought to do the trick - it installs on your existing toilet lid and requires a flip of the lid to start the tunes, while closing it will stop. The Toilet Tunes retails for $29.98 each.

Granted, the holiday season is the time where most people pop open bottles of booze, so what better way to enhance your drinking experience than using wine gadgets? First off we have the Automatic Wine Twirler for the extremely lazy, as your glass is set on a rotating stem where buttons on the base enable you to swirl your wine appropriately with a single touch. Heck, if you’re rich enough to pick this up, why not ask your butler to do the swirling for you as well? When you thought that was wacky, the Tooth-Mounted Flavor Sensor is even more hilarious - this gadget is installed in a molar, where the tooth-mounted flavor sensor will be able to analyze the smallest drop of wine and relaying its results to a speaker in your ear so that you’ll be able to confidently come to a conclusion of how the wine actually is. For more wacky gadgets, head on to Wired for further information. Just a note of caution, the above mentioned are but figments of one’s imagination, but drink enough wine and they’ll become real enough to anyone.

Samsung’s latest YP-T10 portable media player strangely looks like the 2G iPod nano at first glance, but it comes with updated features including a 2″ display that boasts a 16:9 widescreen format, a new character GUI known as Sammy, an integrated FM radio tuner, recording capability, and music and video playback support. The YP-T10 features a battery life that lasts up to 30 hours for audio and 4 hours for video playback. In addition, it is capable of connecting up to two Bluetooth headsets simultaneously, letting another two of your buddies share your favorite tunes with them. The Samsung YP-T10 will come in midnight black, mystic purple, maple red, lime yellow, and white cloud colors. The 2GB and 4GB models will retail for $177 and $210 respectively.

While most of us figure out that speakers do nothing but pump out music, the MP-170 speakers from Miraeplasma does that and more - it also displays your favorite image during audio playback, making it double up as a portable picture frame. Don’t expect sound quality to be top notch though, as the MP-170 isn’t exactly high end stuff but would do well in the office crowd. If you’re interested in picking up one of these, it will cost you $33. Looks like a pretty novel idea to me.

3DIS has just released its 3D LCD monitor in Korea, known as the 1040S. This monitor will see action in CES 2008, so I can’t wait to see the actual monitor in action. This Parallax Barrier type 3D monitor allows viewers to watch 3D content without those pesky glasses, but hopefully the results would be better than what was offered by the LG Flatron M4200D at this year’s CES. The 1040S employs Advanced Layer Technology that is claimed to offer a clear, bright image that resolves the low brightness problem. Do you think there will be an upsurge in demand for 3D monitors in the near future, or will it remain a novelty?
