NEC Wideband Wearable Antenna Prototype
October 31st, 2007
NEC has just developed the Wideband Wearable Antenna Prototype that can be worn on clothing, helping you increase your reception whenever you are walking through areas with low reception levels. Unfortunately, having such an antenna attached to you at all times will definitely lower your sex appeal to the opposite gender, so only hardcore geeks need apply. NEC will begin to test reception of digital terrestrial broadcasts in the 470 to 770 MHz band before it moves on to commercializing the product. Hopefully the final iteration won’t look as blatantly ugly as this.
