Essoni claims to be thinnest LCD TV

Essoni claims to be thinnest LCD TV I really don’t know who to believe any more these days - Nastar has presented the Essoni LCD TV at the IT Channel USA Conference 2007 event, touting it to be the thinnest 1080p full HD LCD TV in the world. It measures a mere 2.45″ in thickness and tips the scales at 77 poinds, supporting 1080p connectivity via HDMI. The Essoni is equipped with an integrated woofer for superior sound and will be available in 47″ and 52″ variants. You can choose from walnut, sycamore, black and white finishes to suit the rest of your living room. Well don’t expect the Essoni to hold on to its crown for too long - chances are some other LCD TVs (full HD ones anyway) will surpass these in terms of thickness in the near future, if not already.

Robi targets iPod

Robi targets iPod The Robi device not only endows your iPod with an instant DAB tuner when used, it also doubles up as a remote for the iPod - unfortunately, its wired existence and relatively high price tag of $100 makes the Robi a luxury item. Suitable for those who already own iPods and want to listen to radio as well, but for folks who have yet to pick up a portable media player, why not choose on that comes with a built-in radio instead and save yourself a whole lot of heartache?

Terabyte thumb drives a possibility

Terabyte thumb drives a possibility Researchers have successfully developed a low-cost, low-power computer memory that could potentially see it being used in terabyte-sized thumb drives in the near future. This new technique manipulates charged copper particles at the molecular scale, making them 1,000 times as energy-efficient as flash memory. Guess the 8GB and larger USB flash drives we see today are but pittance in comparison, but until then don’t throw out your current hardware just yet as you’ll be using it for a fair number of years more.
