California gets free WiFi from AT&T

October 28th, 2007

California gets free WiFi from AT&TAT&T has taken steps to provide free WiFi connectivity to almost 600 locations across Riverside, San Diego, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Orange and Ventura counties. This free service came into effect yesterday, helping those affected by the forest fires to stay connected with families and friends. This is a noble and commendable effort on the part of AT&T - no idea on how long this free WiFi connection will last though, but it ought to be available for at least several weeks. You can check out the full list of AT&T WiFi hot spots in California here.
