Bendable OLED display from Samsung
October 25th, 2007
Samsung has achieved yet another first by introducing the first bendable OLED display in the work at the FPD International 2007 expo. This 4.3″ display comes with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels, a brightness level of 200 cd/m2, and a contrast ratio of 1,000 to 1. While it looks operational already, Samsung officials have not released a hint on its actual development status as well as the time where it would go mainstream. Looks like a pretty neat idea - imagine rolling open your phone’s display to a larger size whenever you want to enjoy movies on-the-go.
