Blakoe Ring stands up to the occassion

Blakoe Ring stands up to the occassion The Blakoe Ring is one interesting bedroom gadget for the more amorous readers out there, specifically males who can’t get their act together no matter how willing their spirits are. Using a steady electro magnetic current (which fortunately is undetectable to the wearer), the Blakoe Ring is one gadget that helps you stand proud upon arousal, enhancing your bedroom acrobatics without any fear or reprisal of side effects. Sounds like a much better method than Viagra, and best of all is, you don’t need to get a doctor’s prescription for one of these.

Condensation problems in iMac

Condensation problems in iMacCertain iMac users have already filed complaints concerning their hardware developing condensation behind the glass panel of the display, while others claimed that their screens are plagued with a yellowish residue (also described as “a grainy sand-like substance”). Apple has not yet released an official statement concerning this problem, but it would be highly advisable to use your iMac within a specified environment (read: office), and not on your yacht while you’re sailing the seven seas.

Parrot DF770 digital photo frame

Parrot DF770 digital photo frame Parrot has just announced its DF770 digital photo frame, and unlike many other Parrot products, this one does not come with Bluetooth connectivity. Instead, it boasts a SIM card that is placed into the frame itself, making it the first MMS digital photo frame in the world. The reason behind this setup enables the user to share photos with other folks who have this frame simply by sending them an MMS. Not only that, there are traditional connectivity options such as USB and an SD memory card slot. This 7″ leather frame would look elegant on any coffee table, making this one interesting gift idea this Christmas. No word on pricing, but it will be released before the holiday season is over.

Phone fingers are real dumb

Phone fingers are real dumbThe Phone fingers are one of the silliest ideas in the world IMHO, being prophylactics for your digits in order to prevent smudges on your iPhone screen. You can choose from small, medium, large and extra large sizes, where a bag of 25 will retail for $15. I can think of a much cheaper solution though - simply cut out tips from a rubber glove and you’re good to go. Imagine wearing these to your high powered business meeting while looking stupid like all get out.

PlayStation Eye now out

PlayStation Eye now out The PlayStation Eye for the PS3 has just been released, and it comes bundled with a copy of Eye of Judgement for Sony’s latest console. Well, what are you waiting for? It is time to head down to the nearest video game store and pick up the PlayStation Eye while engaging in a new type of card game that could potentially take over the gaming world by storm. I personally think that this game will take far too long to set up and has an extremely steep learning curve, so it will probably sideline the majority of gamers (even more so with folks looking for casual games that can be picked up and put down in a matter of minutes).

Wireless sensors powered by vibrations

Wireless sensors powered by vibrations Fancy having wireless bridge sensors that are powered not by solar energy, but vibrations resulting from passing traffic? Well, researchers at Clarkson University, NY, have developed just that to make the life of bridge maintenance personnel easier since there no longer will be a need to replace batteries that are installed in hard-to-reach locations. This allows companies to monitor the bridge (ice conditions, traffic flows, health status, et al) without the need for battery maintenance, up to decades in theory. Harvesting kinetic energy is not new - remember those Citizen watches that ran perpetually? Any idea that helps conserve energy is a good one in my book, and good thing this is also a practical solution.

Touchscreen iMac rumors

Touchscreen iMac rumorsWord on the street has it that a touchscreen iMac is in the works, including the possibility of the final product being a Mac tablet. While this might sound a little crazy a couple of years’ back, the hugely successful iPhone release makes such a device all the more tantalizing. Imagine using multi-touch technology while manipulating images in Photoshop, or working on virtual knobs and faders in music creation programs like ProTools without the need for a mouse. Would the release of a Mac tablet actually bring about the desired revolutionary effect that a Windows-based tablet was supposed to do? More importantly, would you pick up a Mac tablet if it was available?
