Touch Commander released for WM
October 23rd, 2007
HTC’s TouchFLO interface has certainly picked up its fair share of rave reviews, and to have it cloned in the form of Touch Commander must surely mean something. This “unique application” is meant to control PDAs and smartphones by recognizing and responding to both touch and sweep of a finger across the screen. Touch Commander provides one-touch access to phone calls, emails, text messages, calendar, appointments, applications, and other frequently used programs. Compared to TouchFLO, Touch Commander goes one up by being customizable along with the ability to add or change applications launched from it. Touch Commander is compatible with WM 5.0 and WM 6 touchscreen devices, but requires Microsoft’s .NET Compact Framework 2.0 as a pre-requisite. It is available for $14.95 today.
