Toshiba Recalls 142,000 AC Adapters

Those of you who use Toshiba portable DVD players might want to pay special attention to this news: Toshiba has issued a recall on 142,000 AC adapters sold with their portable devices. The recall warns that these adapters have a defect which could cause the devices to overheat and possibly produce a burn hazard. No injuries have been reported yet, though many DVDs have been scorched beyond repair. Check for model number SDP 1600 ADPV16 on your Toshiba adapters. If you have one of these, you’ve been warned!
