Street View gets half dozen more cities
October 10th, 2007
If you’re a bit miffed that Google Maps did not include your city in the new Street View 3D world, fret not. The company that does no evil has just expanded its list of cities by another half dozen, letting residents, visitors, and onlookers view Chicago, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Tucson, and Philadelphia in full 3D glory. Google even went the extra mile by throwing in a new “pan up” feature to most cities, enabling them to swing the virtual camera towards the sky, peering at skyscrapers and rooftops that are within the vicinity. This is definitely one of the more interesting time wasters at the office other than pr0n.
