Optimus Maximus clears FCC hurdle
October 9th, 2007
Those who are still holding out for the Optimus Maximus keyboard from Art Lebedev Studio are definitely long suffering folk, but their agony will soon come to an end as the keyboard has already been approved by the FCC. Here’s a revelation - the Optimus Maximus keyboard will come with 512MB of on-board memory and a 150x SD memory card that stores all the icons which will appear on individual keys’ OLED display each time the user changes programs as well as keyboard layouts. These SD cards can be exchanged if there is a need to swap layout sets between computers. The $1,564 price tag still stays though, and chances are this will be but a flop considering the high entry price.
