If you’re a wine connoisseur, chances are you have a cellar full of wine, but sometime your memory fails you concerning certain years and the area where the wine you’re sipping on comes from. The WineM RFID wine rack could be a possible solution, making all that information accessible at all times, and you even have the benefit of updating them accordingly whenever something new crops up. I wonder if this includes the price as well. The French ought to love having one of these at home, to accompany their collection of cheese.

Don’t get excited just yet, but Sony Ericsson’s president said that a Playstation Phone is in the realm of the “possible”.
Of course, if this device was to become reality, it would need to be awesome or the PlayStation brand would be badly hurt. The plan, if it exists, would be to capitalize on the Playstation brand as (relatively) successfully as Sony Ericsson did with the “Walkman” brand.

The cloning masters in China already have a clone of the Apple nano. The general form-factor is the same, although it is noticeably cheap-looking. Apparently, it is available in large quantities, so expect to find it on the shelves in Asia and elsewhere.

Fresh water is essential in keeping anyone alive, which is why the Life Saver bottle has already garnered plenty of attention as it is able to make foul-smelling water drinkable within seconds. Each bottle can distill between 4,000 to 6,000 liters without having to change the filter, making this the perfect solution in emergencies such as natural disasters and even war. The Life Saver bottle goes one up on conventional filters since it is capable of cutting out viruses in addition to bacteria. Heck, it works so well, it can even clean up faecal matter without the help of chemicals. Each Live Saver-Filter enabled bottle retails for approximately $385, but when you think of the lives it can save, that is but chump change.

PocketMac has just released a new version of their Mac/Windows Mobile sync tool that targets devices running on both Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 6.0. In a nutshell, this software enables you to synchronize contacts, calendar, tasks, email, and more between your Windows Mobile device and Entourage, iCal, and Address Book among others. America’s Army which was first released on the PC platform and used as a U.S. Army recruiting tool will soon be available in an arcade cabinet. Featuring 8 training mini-games that brings true-to-life Army training exercises to gamers, you also get a drill sergeant that aims to ‘bring out the best in each player’. Competition is encouraged with leaderboards, although old school gamers will probably refer to this as the High Score. Points are awarded according to teamwork and obedience to the Rules of Engagement. I wonder how many people will actually want to sign up for Uncle Sam after playing this, and a place where people go to wind down with a pint or two isn’t exactly conducive for a virtual shooting spree. This’ll probably fare better in an arcade rather than the local watering hole.
