Blu-ray players are getting more and more common these days, but Blu-ray video recorders? Sony hopes to saturate the marketplace with their latest offerings - the BDZ-X90, BDZ-L70, BDZ-T70 and the BDZ-T50. All four are capable of burning dual layer BD-R and RE discs, and the first three feature a couple of digital TV tuners and an equal amount of analog ones while the BDZ-T50 uses just two analog TV tuners. Hard drive capacities range between 250GB in the entry level model up to 500GB in the high end model. You get HDMI output with all, although the more expensive models feature gold plated HDMI. Do take note that all the Blu-Ray video recorders mentioned here are Bravia Link compatible.

The LG Prada is definitely one sexy phone (well that was before the iPhone was released), and what better way to complement it than to pair the LG Prada up with this LG Prada headset? Spotted in Korea, the LG Prada headset comes with an LCD display for easy monitoring and will probably feature a rather premium price tag compared to other vanilla headsets. Hopefully the features are up to scratch, else you’d be paying for nothing but a brand name.

If you’re a person who loves cycling and gain your inspiration from the Eagles jamming away in your ears, the Pearl Izumi sounds like an essential piece of cycling gear to pick up. It features 512MB of internal memory (capable of storing up to 16 hours of music) as well as integrated music controls located at the left thigh area. One can only presume the Pearl Izumi is waterproof considering how you’d have to wash this after every cycling session. Bluetooth connectivity makes the Pearl Izumi work flawlessly with a pair of wireless headphones, ensuring your exercise session won’t be plagued with pesky wires and cables. The Pearl Izumi will retail for $499. As for me, I’d rather get an iPod armband for much less as it performs essentially the same thing.

The ITC One home theater system from SE2 Labs is guaranteed to blow your ears (and mind) away with its quality of sound, along with most of your savings. Retailing for a monstrous $20,000, the ITC One measures almost 2 feet tall and tips the scales past 100lbs. It comes with an Xbox 360 inside as well as an HD DVD external drive, an iPod dock, an AMX home automation system, a DVR, cable and satellite tuners, an audio receiver, a video processor, amps of all types, and power conditioning among others. Looks like couch potatoes will definitely hope they have a stocking big enough for Santa to leave this inside when Christmas rolls around.

It looks like the rock band guitar for Xbox 360 will be connected by… a wire! In the meantime, the PS3 version will let users spin freely in their living room, thanks to the wireless connection.
Depending on your gaming style, this might not make a big difference and look at the upside on Xbox 360: when you throw the guitar in rage… it won’t go as far.

IBM researchers in Zurich have developed a printing technology that is orders of magnitude thinner than today’s printing technology. Because 100,000 dpi (dot per inch) is well beyond what our eyes can perceive, this won’t be used to print magazines.
Instead, it could be used to “print” micro chips, OLED displays (Organic Light Emitting Diode) or the next generation film-based solar panels.
This could help create more plastic based, “flexible” electronic components for tomorrow’s gadgets.

Now the MyDo eyeSonic glasses is definitely one unique pair, featuring bone conduction earphones for easier listening. The lens on this measures 1.6mm thick and you have the option of replacing it with numbered glasses. As for the earphones, they are position in a manner that conducts sound straight to your skull efficiently, allowing you to keep both ears peeled for ambient noises as well. This drip-proof pair of glasses will work even when it is raining or if you are sweating profusely. The MyDo eyeSonic will be launched in Japan sometime later this week for approximately $330.

Firefly’s glowPhone R100 has just received the nod of approval from the FCC, so kids will have something to look forward to in the near future (a release before the holiday season rolls around wouldn’t be too much to ask, would it?). It caters specifically to kids, allowing them to just make calls and text messaging with the bare minimum. Heck, the R100 doesn’t even come with Bluetooth connectivity so they’ll have to make do with the standard wired headset solution. Shortcut keys include those that ring up either parental unit in case of an emergency. The glowPhone R100 also features a flashlight mode that turns on all the relevant lights when activated. There is no word on pricing or availability as at press time.

Well, well, the Zune is recipient of a revamp, but unfortunately it involves some minor cosmetic surgery instead of dealing with the heart of the matter. A Target weekly flyer suggests a cobalt-like blue version of the Microsoft Zune, complete with a lighter blue double-shot trim which strongly resembles the black model. Some of the features with this newly colored Zune includes an integrated FM radio and the same sharing-only WiFi access. Pricing has been set at $200, in line with the recent price drop. Move along now, folks, there’s nothing much to see.
