Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD1000

Sanyo has launched the new Xacti DMX-HD1000 that actually packs in a high definition video camcorder into a small and extremely portable form factor, weighing a mere 268 grams while measuring 90mm x 112.6mm x 54.5mm. Targeting the Japanese market, the Xacti DMX-HD1000 features an adjustable grip (up to 135 degrees) for superior comfort, a swing-out 2.7″ LCD display, an SD/SDHC memory card slot (8GB stores nearly up to 1.5 hours of full HD video), and the ability to capture still images in 8 megapixel glory. The Xacti DMX-HD1000 will ship to Japan from October onwards, although pricing details still remain murky.
