Logic3 has just launched the SoundStation3 for the PS3 which is said to bring a greater degree of realism to your gaming and cinematic experience. The speaker system carries 20 watts of RMS sound and features symmetrical speaker satellites that mirror the PS3 design. You also get a trio of preset equalizer settings that cater for gaming, music, and movie sessions. Is it just me or does the number 3 here carry any significant meaning? You can also hook up the SoundStation3 to other portable audio devices courtesy of a 3.5mm jack. I think most people will use this for purposes other than the PS3 since the library of games on Sony’s latest console isn’t exactly encouraging. You can pick up the SoundStation3 for £69.99.

The WE EVO570 Standalone GPRS Camera is used to transmit images via cellular networks whenever the integrated motion detection system is triggered by movement. Other features include two-way audio and the ability to hop on the HSDPA bandwagon in order to transmit even clearer images. A CF memory card is used as the storage medium of choice. I suppose this is great if you want to monitor your kids at home while you’re away at the office, where you will be able to bark commands whenever your progeny gets a little bit too unruly for the babysitter.

Great news: Apple is cutting the price of the iPhone to $399 for the 8GB version and to $299 for the 4GB one. Note that the 4GB model will be discontinued, so Apple is basically dumping the 4GB iPhone stocks here.

JBL has unleashed a couple more Reference headphones for the masses - the JBL Reference 420 and the JBL Reference 610. These new arrivals will feature similar features as their predecessors, namely top-notch comfort and high-quality audio reproduction. The Reference 420 targets frequent travelers, featuring crisp audio and a healthy amount of bass. As for the Reference 610 headphones, these were created especially for those who want to be free of wired connections, utilizing Bluetooth connectivity to receive audio signals while providing a greater degree of movement. The ear pads and headbands on both headphones are made out of real leather for superior comfort even during times of extended use. If you’re a great fan of portable audio, getting a pair of either would be a wise investment.

Just when you thought you’ve seen the last USB gadget, here’s another. It’s an aromatherapy device powered by USB. I’m guessing all it does it heat up some kind of aromatherapy oil. Just when you thought you’ve seen the last USB gadget, here’s another. It’s an aromatherapy device powered by USB. I’m guessing all it does it heat up some kind of aromatherapy oil. You probably don’t even need the USB heater, my Powerbook get’s hot enough to cook eggs off of as it is. But it’s a pretty good idea considering that anyone who actually buys one of these would need it to cover up their overwhelming smell of geek.
