Buffalo launches RUF2-HSC4G flash drive

Buffalo launches RUF2-HSC4G flash driveBuffalo is at it again with yet another USB flash drive, and this time the RUF2-HSC4G will take centre stage. This is no ordinary 4GB USB flash drive as it features AES Encryption (Advanced Encryption Standard @ 128-bits), making it nigh impossible for those who want to access your private data stored inside. Just make sure you don’t forget the assigned password lest all data within is lost. I personally prefer a biometric solution as that does away with the pesky need to remember passwords.

LG goes wood with XCANVAS LCD TVs

LG goes wood with XCANVAS LCD TVs

LG has ditched glossy plastic in favor of wood when it comes to the latest line of XCANVAS models of LCD TVs. Boasting a more refined wooden frame, each XCANVAS LCD TV comes with a 178 degree viewing angle, the spanking new XD processing engine, an HDMI connection, and a USB host jack that enables users to maximize their multimedia content enojoyment. There will be three size available - the 42″ (42LY4D), 47″ (47LY4D), and 52″ (52LY4D) models. Unfortunately, this is currently a Korea-only product with no news on when it will arrive in the West.

N81 officially unveiled

N81 officially unveiled

The Nokia N81 is finally here, and here’s the full skinny on it. For starters, it is available in two flavors, where the first comes with 8GB of integrated flash memory while the other will rely on a microSD card. I would personally gun for the microSD card version - although that would mean I can’t carry that much data at one go, at least I can separate my audio, video, and work files across several microSD cards. Other shared features include stereo speakers, support for popular audio formats, N-Gage compatibility, an FM receiver, a Navi Wheel, and RealPlayer pre-loaded. There is no word on pricing, but cheap is definitely not an adjective to be used here. The Nokia N81 will be released in Q4 this year.

Pepper Spray Stunning Ring

Pepper Spray Stunning RingWant to get that creep off your back? This Pepper Spray Stunning Ring would do the trick, although the tackiness of such a design would probably make any self-respecting male steer clear of you in the first place. The ring is capable of holding the strongest dose of pepper spray currently available, and that amounts up to more than 400 times the amount of jalapeno. It will project a 12″ spray in a cone, causing an intense burning sensation to whoever is bothering you more than you’d like. Just make sure the shot counts as refills will set you back by $8 a pop. The Pepper Spray Stunning Ring is currently going for $30.

Dog Tag Flash Drive

Dog Tag Flash DriveThe Dog Tag Flash Drive from Dane-Elec is definitely a refreshing change from the usual design, bringing an eclectic look to your laptop or computer whenever you plug this in. There is 1GB of storage space inside, and you can wear it around your neck as a fashion accessory thanks to the inclusion of a chain. Although you can’t engrave any name on it, the $14.99 sticker price makes this the perfect addition to your stationery collection if you’re about to head back to school.

LG presents KS20 cellphone

LG presents KS20 cellphone

While the LG KS20 will only be presented in an official capacity at IFA 2007 early next month, there are already quite a few images of it floating around. I must say that it looks very much like a beauty, bringing a 2 megapixel camera, an integrated audio and video player, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 2.8″ touchscreen display to the fore. This HSDPA-enabled smartphone runs on Windows Mobile 6 as the operating system of choice and will hit European shores sometime at the end of the year at a yet undisclosed price. Start breaking out those piggy banks, boys!

Hop Pops adds cute to desktop

Hop Pops adds cute to desktop

Fancy making your desktop a little livelier? How about the Hop Pops that would find a home in virtually any desktop environment? These tiny animals come with bobbing heads that respond not to kinetic energy, but noise or interaction instead. Choose from frog, rabbit, panda, duck, monkey or bear designs for $17 a pop. Alternatively, you can pick up the entire set for $88. I suppose having a few of these lined up on top of your monitor with non-stop music playing in the background would make for a much more bearable Monday.

Panasonic D-Snap SV-SD950N

Panasonic D-Snap SV-SD950N

Panasonic has a brand new digital audio player in town known as the D-Snap SV-SD950N. It comes in a rectangular form factor with an SD memory card slot for your storage needs. Each purchase ships with a measly 1GB SD memory card, so you would be well advised to pick up 2GB cards when the opportunity swings by. The best part would be Bluetooth connectivity that enables you to enjoy music without the hassle of wires cramping your style, making this an ideal candidate at the gym or long road trips. Battery life is pretty impressive, clocking up to 60 hours of continuous playback before requiring a recharge. The Panasonic D-Snap SV-SD950N will be released this September for approximately $219 in silver or black colors.
