Olympus FE Series cameras are fun
August 24th, 2007

Olympus has unveiled three new cameras in its FE line, bringing the words ‘fun’ and ‘easy’ into the world of photography. One of the most outstanding feature would be the “Smile Shot” that will take portraits only when the subjects in the photograph smile. The FE-280, FE-290, and FE-300 that retails for $200, $250, and $300 respectively are pretty much the same, sharing a 2.5″ LCD display with 3x optical zoom. The main difference would be the megapixel count that stands at 8, 7, and 12 in ascending order. I wonder whether making funny faces during a photo shoot is categorized as a “smile” by the sensor.
