M-toy MP3 player targets kids

M-toy MP3 player targets kids

The M-toy MP3 player concept will definitely appeal to parents with loud, wailing brats. The entire circular section is an OLED display that shows different distorted images, and kids will have to spin these displays correctly in order to unveil the correct image. Once that is done, music will be played via the pair of integrated speakers. Audio files are transferred through the removable USB memory key. This M-toy MP3 player was designed by Sung-kyu Nam and it looks more like a giant lollipop than anything else. Having OLED displays on the top surface isn’t such a good idea in the hands of kids, as we all know what a force of nature they are.

Bmorn Touch Music PMP

Bmorn Touch Music PMPWhen the LG Chocolate cellphone was first released, everyone went nuts over the touch sensitive controls that just oozed with class. Nevermind the fact that it lacked 3G support then - our superficial world still judges a book by its cover. Bmorn from China has just unveiled the Touch Music PMP that is probably a couple of years late with the Chocolate-inspired control scheme, but you certainly can’t fault it for its 2.8″ 260k color QVGA display (320 x 240 resolution) and compatibility with a wide range of audio and video formats (XviD, AVI, MP3, WMA, TXT, JPEG). A microSD memory card slot is there for you to carry all your media, but unfortunately the 1GB cap doesn’t add to its appeal. Other features include an FM radio tuner and a Dictaphone function.

Arm Spirit pulled out from arcades

Arm Spirit pulled out from arcades

This arm-wrestling arcade machine is being pulled out from the streets as three players broke their arms playing with it. MSNBC got a comment from Ayano Sakiyama, the spokesperson for Atlus, the developer of the Arm Spirit: “We think that maybe some players get overexcited and twist their arms in an unnatural way” (link).

Yeah, blame it on the customers :)

The machine hasn’t been deployed oversees, and I suspect, won’t be, for a while.

Wooden external hard drive

Wooden external hard drive

I don’t think that I like the design of this wooden external 750GB drive/USB HUB case because I prefer more modern designs, but it is unusual enough to have its place in our feed as I’m sure one of you will probably want one of his/her matching desk. It has 4 USB ports and audio/microphone jack as well, making it the central connection point for your desk’s peripherals. Suissa computers have many more wooden designs, so if you’re a fan, check out their site.

Sonos CR100 guns for 32 rooms

Sonos CR100 guns for 32 rooms

The Sonos CR100 central control unit is one able device, capable of accessing music that are archived in up to 16 digital or analogue sources sans wires. It doesn’t matter whether your music is stored on MP3s or CD players, stereo systems, computers, or Internet radio stations - the CR100 will still be able to pull these digital audio files over a home network or Internet, transmitting them via a wireless connection to ZonePlayers which has a maximum reach of 32 rooms. Not that you have that many rooms in your apartment to begin with anyway, but perhaps the CR100 would work great in a small motel setup. Other features include the necessary navigation keys and a scroll wheel.

Microsoft renames Xbox 360 Core

Microsoft renames Xbox 360 CoreThe much maligned Xbox 360 Core has just been given a new name, and will be repackaged as the Xbox 360 Arcade. Other than a change in naming convention, this new bundle will target casual gamers who find titles on Xbox Live Arcade appealing. Microsoft will through in a 256MB memory card with each purchase, along with five pre-loaded titles from the popular service. Among them include Pac-Man Championship Edition and Uno. The original wired controller will also be thrown out of the window, where a wireless version now takes its place. There is no word on when Xbox 360 Arcade will be launched, but if you were a casual gamer, would you choose this over the Wii?
