Cowon iAudio 7 gets bumped to 16GB
August 14th, 2007
Cowon has just made it known to the world that the iAudio 7 will soon come in a 16GB model, while the D2 will ship with 8GB of internal memory. You can even add another 8GB on the D2 simply by throwing in an 8GB SDHC card as well. This means the 16GB Cowon iAudio 7 can be yours for approximately 235 Euros while the 8GB D2 retails at a more hefty 330 Euros. With that much space available, it is still a far cry from the 80GB available on a hard disk-based iPod, but it sure as heck is more stable since there are no drive heads to plough into your data! Hopefully the advancements in memory technology will one day see the hard drive phased out, replaced by flash memory instead.
