Mirror Media has been manufacturing mirrors that also function as TVs for some time now, and this time the company has taken one step further by combining its previous efforts with a built-in computer. This means you can not only groom yourself and enjoy your favorite movies on a high quality display, you can also use the same display to view your latest work assignments from the boss, surf the Web, and even play some games. This new Mirror Media effort will come in various sizes ranging between 20?, 25?, 30? or 36?, where you will be able to choose from a wide range of customized frames including decorated wood, gold, silver, and colored frames. No word on pricing though, but cheap isn’t the operative word here.

If you’re living in Korea and are currently looking out for a PDA phone to purchase, the PIDION BM-500 from Bluebird could fit the bill perfectly. Features are pretty impressve, ranging from the 2.8″ QVGA TFT LCD display, a 1.3 megapixel camera, WiFi connectivity (up to 802.11g only), Bluetooth connectivity, and T-DMB support for portable TV viewing. With 512MB ROM, you won’t have problem storing programs, while a miniSD memory card slot (up to 2GB) works great for you to carry your favorite audio and video files. My only gripe would be the operating system of choice - the BM-500 is still running on Windows Mobile 5.0 Phone Edition instead of moving on towards Windows Mobile 6. Pricing details are currently unknown.

I thought, I’d take on Steve Jobs challenge, when last Monday at the unveiling of the new iMacs, the Apple chief suggested Apple’s computers were not necessarily the pricier alternatives they are generally perceive to be. It took me a while to come down to a small selection of what I think are the closest competitors to the new iMacs.Read more on Uberpulse.com

Nintendo isn’t content with resting on its laurels, quietly releasing the DS Slide Controller a few days back. This controller features a certain degree of motion-sensing features that is required to play a puzzle-style game known as ‘MagKid, Slide Adventure’. A circular motion will generate a ‘power-up’ action while side-to-side zigzagging helps you navigate through a maze while avoiding enemies in the process, and rapid jerks are performed to attack opponents. The DS Slide Controller looks as though it will further expand Nintendo’s net to gather up casual gamers from all walks of life. This device is currently available in Japan only for approximately $48 (including the game) - with no word on whether this will be released worldwide at a later date.

If there ever was a piggy bank of sorts that would help your kid save some change, the Face Bank would definitely rank high up there. This unique coin saving device comes with a face that actually ‘eats’ coins (it swallows them in reality) in a rather creepy manner. One thing’s for sure - storing a bunch of coins with this will take a long, long time since it looks as though you’ll have to feed each coin individually. Not forgetting the Face Bank makes a whole lot of noise when wolfing down those pennies and quarters. The Face Bank will be available late next month, but they can currently be pre-ordered for approximately $21 each from Strapya World. Check out the Face Bank video here.

The gaming keyboard market is pretty lonely at the top, with just Razer and Logitech sitting pretty at the top. Their party is about to be crashed though, thanks to the introduction of the Steelkeys 6G. This gaming keyboard was specifically built to withstand rough play and comes in a much more durable design when compared to a standard keyboard. It comes integrated with an onboard chip that is capable of deciphering multiple, simultaneous keystrokes that makes it all the more responsive. While it does not come with a fancy LCD display as found on the Logitech G15, the 6G is really a viable alternative with its heavier form factor that prevents the keyboard from slipping away during more frenzied gaming moments. It retails for $114 and ought to be considered carefully before a purchase is made since other competitors offer more features for the same price.

Now here’s a concept of a portable music player that definitely takes the cake when it comes to a far out design. Not only does it support regular audio CDs, it is also capable of deciphering MP3 files. When used as an MP3 player, it can be carried in any style that you like, be it hung around your neck or clipped to a belt loop. Whenever you go old school with some CDs, just open up both sides, insert your favorite CD and you’re good to go. I wonder what designer Yong-Seong Kim had when this was being fleshed out, but more from where that came from is certainly not a bad thing!

Now this is definitely one of the more noteworthy PC case mods to date, although it still loses out to the Optimus Prime effort by a margin. Still, it stands heads and shoulders above other attempts with the Tumbler Batmobile PC stowing away an AMD Sempron processor and seven activity LEDs. The case was made with the help of a remote controlled model of Batman’s ride of choice from Wal-mart, and even if the internal motors were not ripped out, this PC case can’t go very far unless you unplug the power cords attached to it. Pimpin’!

We all know just how small a microSD memory card is, but it confounds me how this microSD card reader is a wee bit bigger than the microSD card itself! It is capable of storing a microSD card inside snugly with a USB 2.0 connector on the other end, making this one of the smallest USB flash drives in the world. To get a better idea of just how small this is, it measures a miniscule 28mm x 15mm x 2mm and weighs 3 grams. Now I have yet another thing to worry about - losing this $11.50 microSD card reader on my travels. Perhaps I should use it as a cellphone charm instead…
