Camera color matching technology
July 13th, 2007
P Labs has developed a new technology that change color matching items during shopping, making it a mission critical addition to any clothing or makeup buying spree. This system involves using a buyer’s cameraphone and a specialized color chart when it comes to developing recommendations. Once you capture a self-portrait with the chart in view and send it to the store as an MMS, the image will be adjusted to compensate for lighting and make recommendations for goods based on the user’s skin tones and a color-matched catalog. Guess you have computer algorithms making purchasing decisions for you now eh. This would be great for husbands and boyfriends, as they can fall back on such technology to recommend whichever color that suits their other halves.
