Yano Electric unveils new HDD case
July 12th, 2007
HDD cases are all alike, or are they? Yano Electric from Japan has just released its new external case which stores 3.5″ hard drives, and you can purchase these without a hard drive inside or choose from models containing 160GB all the way to 750GB within. USB 2.0 is not the only connectivity option, as the Yano Electric HDD case also comes with FireWire 400 and 800 ports for video buffs. The 160GB version is affordably priced at €215, and the price can go nowhere but upwards from there. It would be prudent to use FireWire as that takes up less power and is faster than USB 2.0, although less popular these days.
