Not only that, you get an extremely unique design not found anywhere else, being blobs that are triangular in nature. There is also no need to carry around a power supply since the the SBS-6600 uses rechargeable batteries that offer up to 8 hours of non-stop audio playback. A full charge requires 3.5 hours at a power outlet. The SBS-6600 has a 10 meter range and relies on Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP and AVRCP standards, making it compatible with the majority of music-capable cellphones and Bluetooth-enabled portable media players. Our sister site UberPulse has learned that for the first time in Hollywood’s history, a studio, namely Paramount, plans to release it’s next blockbuster movie, Transformers, on cable pay-per-view at the same time than in US theatres, on July 3rd. But the price might be a bit of a shocker to you: $49, one night for the whole house! Actually, Hollywood’s idea is to price it such as it will not kill the theatre business… at least not immediately! At this price, it makes sense to watch a blockbuster at home instead of going to the theatres, only if you have a really nice home theatre system and invites lots of family and friends.More here.

For those who travel frequently, it is imperative that you secure your notebook lest you reach your destination with your PowerPoint slide in somebody else’s hands. The Lock Alarm is one device that is hooked up to your notebook, where a motion sensor and combination lock help keep it secure. Should your notebook be relieved without the proper combination lock entered, an alarm will wail at 100 decibels - loud enough to attract the attention of everyone within the vicinity but the deaf. Just make sure you remember to disarm it before you, the owner, set off the alarm yourself and cause a scene. The Lock Alarm retails for $24.95.

Or so that’s what it looks like at first glance. The DLO TuneStik is no ordinary FM transmitter, but it also boasts the functionality of a remote control unit. Not only that, you get a dock pass-through, enabling you to charge and sync your iPod while the TuneStik is still attached. This unique feature enables you to control your iPod via the wireless FM remote, with just about any other iPod gear which you have configured in a number of FM radio-friendly settings. The TuneStik leeches off your iPod’s power, so it doesn’t need to carry any batteries. The DLO TuneStik will be available for roughly $60 a pop.

Is your dad hogging the TV all the time, giving you no opportunity to play your Wii in the living room? Fear not - there is now an LCD display add-on for the Wii. This 7″ LCD display sounds pretty useful, but only if you’re cooped up in your room with nothing but Virtual Console games to keep you company. Normally, most Wii games require a whole lot of swinging action, making a tiny display such as this insufficient. I guess if you’re one who flicks the Wiimote more than flailing it about, this 7″ LCD Wii display is the perfect gift for you. At least the risk of a flying Wiimote embedding itself into the screen is lessened.

Looks like Sanyo has yet another handset up their sleeves for us, and this time it is the SCP-8500 clamshell, or better known as the Katana DLX. Most probably, the skinny Katana DLX will be available from Sprint. Other features available on this handset includes EV-DO connectivity, Bluetooth support, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. According to the drawings, the Katana DLX boasts dual cameras, where one of them is presumably a VGA version for video calls. When placed alongside the original Katana, the DLX loses 3.8mm in height and 1.4mm in width, gaining 3.3mm in thickness instead. Other details are currently unavailable.

Looks like there are leaked images of the Nokia 7900 floating around, and what impresses you the most would be the interesting criss-cross design in front and at the back. Measuring a mere 14mm thick, the 7900 will be equipped with Bluetooth and 3G connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera with flash, an integrated FM radio, email support, integrated audio and video players, 1GB of internal memory, and a very capable display that shows up to 16 million colors in 320 x 240 resolution, all packed into a body that measures 106mm x 44mm x 14mm. I personally think this is a hoax, as the design cues definitely do not lean toward the business-class image that is associated with such a handset, while 14mm sounds too slim for a Nokia. What about you?

Looks like the folks at iRiver are a pretty inspired bunch, as their designs are inspiring to say the least lately. The iRiver W10 is beneficiary of such genius, being a portable media player that is powered by Windows CE. In addition to playing video and audio while viewing images, the W10 is said to come with an integrated FM radio, WiFi connectivity, and even a VoIP client to keep you in touch with close and loved ones. The 3″ WQVGA widescreen TFT touch display makes navigation a cinch, while a miniSD memory card slot is there to expand upon the 8GB internal memory. The iRiver W10 is slated to be released sometime later in 2007, so if you can wait for at least half a year more, the W10 ought to be taken into consideration.

If you had to nominate a robot for being heroic, I would like to think that there would be no better candidate than the HRP-3 Promet Mk-II. This android was built tough to walk through heavy rains, carry out disaster relief operations, as well as work in environments which are considered hazardous to humans. The HRP-3 Promet Mk-II boasts the ability to walk on slippery surfaces, and it also has enough handyman talents to help it get chores done around the house. The HRP-3 Promet Mk-II cost a whopping $3.3 million to develop, and it is hoped that he will be employed in the near future to perform dirty and dangerous jobs that nobody wants to do.

The folks who designed the Zikon Z-510 handset must surely be a poorly paid bunch, considering how their design cues followed those of Motorola’s handsets closely. What you get with this clamshell cellphone include a paltry 1.3 megapixel camera, a microSD memory card slot (supports up to 1GB cards only), MP3 and AVI playback, and a tiny OLED display up in front. No idea on how much it costs nor which region will the Z-510 be released, but one thing’s for sure - it won’t be doing gangbusters anytime soon.
