FCC approves Huawei M318
June 21st, 2007
Looks like Huawei from China will be making a beeline for the US market soon, considering how the FCC has already approved the M318 clamshell cellphone complete with MetroPCS branding. This CDMA handset is pretty bare bones in every sense of the word - it is missing both a camera and Bluetooth connectivty. I guess corporations would be happy to get these for their employees since the lack of a camera means a lower chance of industrial espionage. No idea on how much the Huawei M318 would cost, but it definitely ought to be around the same price as dirt (which means extremely cheap).
