ThinkPad Reserve oozes with class
June 18th, 2007
When you pick up the ThinkPad Reserve from Lenovo, you aren’t just purchasing any ordinary notebook. The ThinkPad Reserve might come with a shocking $5,000 price tag, but you also get a whole bunch of intangible goodies such as access to a 24/7 direct line to phone and online support in addition to free routine maintenance. In fact, Lenovo will go so far as to fly in on-site technicians to your home/office within four hours. An Intel 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo processor runs the show, complete with 2GB of memory, a 160GB hard drive, an external DVD rewriter and external 80GB hard drive for backup purposes, and a cellular WAN modem. You can’t just waltz into any store and pick this up though, as this is an invitation-only offer to Lenovo’s preferred customers.
