Leather-bound Earth-Trek mouse

Leather-bound Earth-Trek mouse

Leather is a material that is synonymous with luxury. Just take a look at expensive homes and their leather sofas. You also find the same material used in shoes, while vehicles with normal cushions offer a “meh” experience when compared to sitting in a leather-clad Jaguar. Earth-Trek has decided to apply the same principle by putting leather onto their mouse. Does anyone else think that the mouse looks a wee bit like the original RAZR sans external screen? Not sure whether getting this for your employees will boost productivity though.

Cable lights up when you talk

Cable lights up when you talkJust in case you haven’t gotten enough of last Saturday’s party and want to bring the mood over to your cubicle, the Lightsnake Stichat USB headset ought to do the trick. Whenever you’re holding a VoIP conversation with somebody else, the cable will light up and flash throughout the entire verbal dance. Inline controls enable you to vary the volume level or turn the entire thing mute. If you think you prefer your own earphones, go ahead and ditch the bundled ones. At $19.99, it ain’t too shabby but you would probably end up looking more juvenile than professional while using this at the office.

Breathe easy on board

Breathe easy on board

Some people fear spending hours on a plane not because of the risk of crashing, but more from the claustrophobic environment, especially when you’re seated next to a constantly sneezing person who smells as though he/she had not bathed for a week. This is where the Plane Clean Air Filter comes in handy, being mounted to the overhead air nozzle above the seat to remove 99.5% of all allergens, bacteria and viruses from the plane’s air stream. In addition, it also creates a protective curtain of air around you, preventing unwanted airborne pests from bothering you. At $19.99 a pop, it could be well worth checking out if you’re a frequent flier.

Silverware Coffee Table by Toni Grilo

This table made completely out of recycled knives, forks and spoons has the potential to be the most agrivating object on earth. It’s created by artist Toni Grilo, and if you don’t have anything in the house to eat it will taught you to no end. Of course if your coffee table is made completely out of old Taco bell wrappers and hot sauce packets like mine, then, well, um, you’d be, ah, full.

EleeNo WebTime Series Elite

EleeNo WebTime Series EliteHere’s yet another impossible watch to read unless you already hold a couple of PhDs from MIT. The EleeNo WebTime Series Elite watch does take some getting used to whenever you want to know the time, but this comes with plenty of practice as you disengage your mind from the analog/digital format which you have followed closely since time immemorial. At $122 they certainly aren’t the cheapest watches around, but at least it is something different. Here’s a hat tip: You tell the time by seeing where the colored line cross the numbers. The top number depicts the hour, while the bottom shows the minutes.
